RHYTHM AND BLUES: This is a delightfully complex and boozy cocktail with lots of layers of flavor: Big O ginger liqueur, rye, cognac, Cointreau, and two aromatic bitters. It’s a late-night sipper.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur
  • 3/4 oz Templeton Rye
  • 3/4 oz Hennesey VS Cognac
  • 1/4 oz Cointreau
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 2 dashes Peychaud Bitters

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and stir until well chilled.
  2. Strain into chilled cocktail or martini glass and garnish with a flamed orange peel.
